Horner is particularly renowned for his exquisite silver and enamel work, and today his pieces are highly sought after by collectors worldwide.

The bracelet is constructed from articulated sterling silver panels, alternating between wonderfully stylised Art Nouveau openwork links and square panels decorated with luminous blue, turquoise, green and violet guilloché enamel. The textured enamel absolutely comes alive in the light, shifting colour beautifully as the bracelet moves.

Charles Horner's work is considered important enough to be represented in the jewellery collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and bracelets of this design are exceptionally scarce. An identical example was sold in 2001 for £840 ( R13 398 )— already a substantial sum more than 25 years ago.

Finished with its push-in box clasp and clearly hallmarked for Charles Horner and sterling silver.

CONDITION NOTE: Two of the enamel panels have small areas of enamel loss/chipping, clearly shown in my close-up photographs. These are not particularly noticeable when the bracelet is being worn and are entirely understandable on a piece of this age. Priced accordingly.

An exceptionally scarce piece of Charles Horner Art Nouveau jewellery — not simply a beautiful bracelet, but a wonderfully collectable piece of British jewellery history.

Measurements :The bracelet with a length of 17cm and 1.3cm wide. The bracelet with a weight of 17.1 grams.

https://expeditionwithjones.com/products/crafted-by-celebrated-british-jeweller-charles-horner-this-beautiful-hallmarked-sterling-silver-panel-bracelet-is-a-wonderful-example-of-early-20th-century-british-art-nouveau-jewellery
