Collection: Arts & Crafts (1880-1920)

Emerging towards the end of the 19th century, the Arts and Crafts movement was founded on a deep discontent with the industrialized society. Its jewelers refused to adopt the automated factory system, which was responsible for producing the majority of inexpensive jewelry, and decided to concentrate on creating unique jewelry items by hand. They thought that this procedure would enhance both the worker's spirit and the final product's appearance.
