RARE FIND !!! A Knightly Treasure – Fit for a Renaissance Duel!
This 1950s Coro battle axe brooch and matching screw-back earrings are a fantastic and rare set, embodying a bold medieval-meets-mid-century aesthetic!
This set was designed by Coro, one of the most influential and prolific American costume jewelry manufacturers of the 20th century. The battle axe motif is an extraordinary and uncommon design, inspired by the grandeur of Renaissance weaponry, making it a true statement piece for collectors.
Crafted with gold-tone metal, the brooch and earrings are embellished with multi-colored rhinestones in vibrant jewel tones of emerald green, deep sapphire blue, rich ruby red, and sparkling clear crystals. The intricate use of oval, marquise, baguette, and round-cut rhinestones elevates the design to a luxurious, almost regal level—reminiscent of the decorative arms and armor of Renaissance-era nobility.
The Coro script signature and "REG PAT APP" (Registered Patent Applied For) on the brooch’s reverse confirm its authenticity and exclusivity.
Individual brooches of this design have fetched between $122 (R2200) to $245 (R4500) in online markets.
The matching earrings make this set even rarer, increasing its desirability and value among collectors.
Measurements :The brooch measures 6.9cm x 2cm and weight of 11.3grams.Each of the earrings measure 2.7cm x 1.5cm and combined weight of 6.9grams.
