VINTAGE KIT HEATH “GLASGOW STYLE” BLACK ONYX ROSE BROOCH – CIRCA 1995.

Elegant lines. Symbolic beauty. Pure Art Nouveau romance.

A pretty and petite vintage designer brooch, crafted in solid sterling silver and set with black onyx, created by renowned British jewellery house Kit Heath circa 1995.

This piece is beautifully styled in homage to the iconic work of Scottish designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh, embodying the unmistakable “Glasgow Style” — where nature meets flowing, architectural form.

The design features:
• A graceful arrangement of stylised flower buds, rising in a fluid, organic composition.
• Four delicate buds leading to a fully bloomed rose at the forefront.
• The rose is formed in pierced silver, revealing a deep black onyx backing — creating striking contrast and depth.
• Elegant curved lines and openwork, giving the brooch a light, airy presence.

The combination of polished silver and rich black onyx gives this piece that classic Art Nouveau elegance with a slightly modernist edge.

DESIGN & HISTORY

✔ Stylised roses
✔ Elongated, flowing lines.
✔ Balance between geometry and nature.
