A Token of Gratitude – Vintage Halcyon Days Enamel Box in Original Presentation Case.
An exquisite tribute to elegance and English craftsmanship, this vintage Halcyon Days enamel trinket box is a timeless keepsake that embodies refinement and sentiment.

Carefully nestled in its original royal blue presentation box, lined in sumptuous deep velvet and embossed with the royal crest, the box proudly states its origins: “By appointment to Her Majesty The Queen, Suppliers of Objects d’Art.” This regal detail underscores the prestige and heritage of its maker—Halcyon Days.

The enamel box itself is a miniature work of art. Crafted in Bilston, England—an area historically revered as the heart of English enameling—the circular box is richly adorned with a cheerful floral motif surrounding a heartfelt message that reads, "A Special Thank You" in elegant script. Vivid clusters of daisies, forget-me-nots, and blossoms in pinks, yellows, and blues tumble around a pale ivory striped ground, framed by golden accents and intricate detailing.

The hand-painted design continues along the sides of the domed lid and gently flared body, creating a sense of classic English charm and romantic nostalgia. Open the hinged lid and you're greeted by a dainty floral engraving on the inner enamel surface, a secret detail for the owner's eyes alone.

Founded in 1950, Halcyon Days is a British heritage brand known for reviving the lost art of enamel box making, a tradition dating back to the 18th century in Battersea and Bilston. By the mid-20th century, the craft had nearly disappeared—until Halcyon Days, led by entrepreneur Susan Benjamin, brought it back to life. The company quickly gained international acclaim and became one of only 14 companies in the world to hold all three Royal Warrants, having supplied gifts and objects d’art to the Royal Household for decades.

Currently retailing online for approximately £195 (R4,700), with prices rising steadily due to their collectibility and the enduring appeal of British enamels.
