A true treasure steeped in fraternal history – this is a Silver-plated Permanent Steward’s Jewel of the Royal Masonic Hospital, awarded to Bro. J.H. Kenshole No. 7389.

The design is utterly captivating: the front depicts a classical allegorical scene – a robed figure of Charity or Humanity gently offering a cup of aid to a seated, ailing man. This imagery perfectly embodies the hospital’s mission of healing and compassion.

Above, the jewel is surmounted by a five-pointed Masonic star and a scroll bearing the Latin motto “AEGROS SANAT HUMANITAS” (translated as Humanity heals the sick).

Suspended from its original navy-blue ribbon with pale blue stripe, the medal carries wonderful presence when worn. The reverse is handsomely engraved with its recipient’s details:
“Bro. J.H. Kenshole – No. 7389.”

Originally issued as a recognition of lifelong support for the Royal Masonic Hospital in London, these jewels are highly collectible not only for their Masonic symbolism but also for their fine craftsmanship and deeply humanist theme.

While originally worn as a medal, this beauty can easily be adapted into a striking statement pendant – an artifact that fuses history, charity, and timeless design.

Measurements :The medal measures 6.7cm x 3.4cm excluding the ribbon. The medal with a weight of 36.4grams.
