RARE FIND — Antique Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold & Ruby Puffed Heart Pendant (circa 1900).
A truly breathtaking treasure from the romantic Edwardian era, this antique circa 1900 puffed heart pendant has survived more than 120 years with its beauty, grace, and symbolism entirely intact.
Crafted in solid 9ct rose gold, it carries that warm, blushed glow unique to turn-of-the-century gold — soft, romantic, and unmistakably Edwardian.
The pendant is generous in size, domed and “puffed,” giving it a dimensional, tactile feel that instantly evokes the sentimental jewellery beloved during the reign of King Edward VII.
The front panel showcases an exquisite hand-engraved garland and floral swag, styled like an elegant lace-trimmed sash draped across the upper curve of the heart. This type of ornamental flourish was especially popular from 1895–1910, reflecting the era’s obsession with delicate feminine motifs, botanical curves, and symbolic florals.
At the base sits a natural round-cut ruby, beautifully flush-set into the gold. The ruby is a perfectly chosen accent — subtle yet glowing like a drop of wine-red light.
The back is inscribed with a clear “9CT” purity stamp, confirming its authenticity as a genuine antique gold piece.
