A LITTLE ART DECO LUCK | STERLING SILVER & MARCASITE CLOVER EARRINGS

Now THESE have character!! A wonderfully charming pair of Art Deco-era sterling silver screw-back earrings, each fashioned as a beautifully dimensional three-leaf clover and glittering with tiny marcasites.

Each of the three heart-shaped leaves is richly pavé-set with marcasites, giving the earrings that unmistakable dark, silvery sparkle so strongly associated with jewellery of the 1920s–1930s Art Deco period.A slender marcasite-set stem completes each little clover.

But the BEST detail is the quirky asymmetry!
One of the clovers appears to have been deliberately soldered onto its fitting in the opposite orientation, meaning that when worn, one clover sits upright while its partner sits inverted. Rather than looking like an accidental mismatch, it gives the pair a wonderfully playful, individual character — almost like two interpretations of the same jewel.

THE CLOVER
For centuries, the clover has been associated with good fortune, hope and prosperity, while its three leaves have also traditionally been interpreted as symbols of faith, hope and love.

Measurements :Each clover measures 1.5cm x 1.5cm.The earrings with a combined weight of 3.9grams.
