A wonderfully chunky unisex jade saddle ring, carved entirely from a single solid piece of natural green and white jade— no metal setting, no claws and no separate stone. The ring itself IS the stone!

Beautifully polished with a broad, slightly domed face and raised edges, the jade displays gorgeous natural variations of mossy forest green, smoky grey-green and cloudy pale white, creating an almost landscape-like pattern across the surface. 

This broad saddle-ring form has long been particularly associated with Chinese jade jewellery and makes such a strong statement on the hand. Jade itself has been treasured in Chinese culture for thousands of years and traditionally carries associations with prosperity, protection, harmony and longevity.

What I especially love is that this one isn't delicate or overly polished-looking — it has that fabulous substantial, almost ancient talisman feel to it.
