Oh I LOVE these!! A wonderfully colourful vintage collection of seven miniature Chinese-deity and auspicious figure carvings, each individually hand-carved from a different natural gemstone.
Together they form the most charming little collection, with each stone bringing its own colour, translucency and natural character. The set includes carvings in rose quartz, black onyx, tiger's eye, carnelian, clear rock crystal quartz, amethyst and green aventurine.
Look closely and the tiny carved details are beautiful — flowing robes, headdresses, facial features and traditional attributes have all been worked into stones only a few centimetres tall. The sunlight really brings them alive, especially the glowing carnelian and wonderfully translucent quartz pieces.
