RARE FIND!!!Behold a true treasure from the Jazz Age—a rare and resplendent Art Deco-era necklace circa 1930s, strung with the bold style of the Deco movement.
This extra-long rope-length necklace is a visual symphony of glowing round amethyst glass beads, each one rich in plum and violet hues. These luscious glass beads are punctuated by brilliant faceted clear crystal beads, cut to catch the light like vintage chandeliers in a grand ballroom. Delicate clear and jet-black faceted rondelle spacers add rhythm and contrast, reminiscent of the monochrome sophistication so iconic to the 1930s.
What makes this piece truly extraordinary is its craftsmanship—each bead is lovingly knotted by hand on violet cord, preserving the integrity of the design and adding a luxurious touch often lost in modern reproductions.
Art Deco necklaces in this rare rope length are incredibly hard to come by—especially ones this well preserved. Most surviving examples are much shorter, yet this piece drapes dramatically and can be styled doubled or worn long for an effortless statement. Similar strands of this era command premium prices, often R5000 and upwards, especially with the charm of authentic Deco glamour.
Measurements :The necklace with a length of 110cm , each of the amethyst glass beads measure 1cm in diameter, the faceted clear crystal beads each measure 1.3cm in diameter. The necklace with a weight of 180grams.
