Now THIS is a fabulously fun piece of 1990s Swatch nostalgia — and one for the serious Swatch collector!

A vintage Swatch POP quartz wristwatch, featuring that unmistakably chunky, oversized POP-style resin case with a wonderfully quirky transparent dial revealing portions of the movement beneath. The warm copper-toned face, playful numerals and bright red seconds hand give it loads of proper 90s character.

And then there’s that strap!  A fabulous black stretch fabric strap scattered with colourful polka dots — wonderfully eccentric and unmistakably Swatch.

The clever POP design was created so the watch head could be removed or “popped” from its holder, allowing these watches to be worn and styled in different ways — one of the reasons surviving vintage examples have developed such a collector following.

CONDITION NOTE: The watch works but currently requires a new battery to be fitted.
Vintage Swatch POP watches are increasingly sought after by collectors, with comparable examples advertised online around the R2,500–R3,000 mark, depending on model, originality and condition.
