CHARM OVERLOAD!! | VINTAGE STERLING SILVER CHARM BRACELET.
Now THIS is a proper old-school charm bracelet!! A marvellous vintage piece crafted around a beautifully substantial solid sterling silver curb-link bracelet, absolutely loaded with 13 individual sterling silver charms.
And what a fabulous little collection! Amongst the miniature treasures are a seahorse, hedgehog, penny-farthing bicycle, ladder, turtle, kangaroo, little house and several wonderfully quirky novelty charms. Even better, three of the charms are articulated, with moving parts that bring these tiny silver sculptures to life.
One of my favourites has to be the miniature sterling silver whistle — and YES, it actually works!! These functional and articulated charms are exactly what make vintage charm bracelets so much fun to collect.
The bracelet itself is no lightweight either — a gorgeous chunky sterling silver curb chain finished with a secure lobster-claw clasp. In fact, based on its silver weight, the scrap value of the silver alone works out at just over R2,000 — and obviously this fabulous survivor is worth far more intact than melted down!
