Oh these are BEAUTIFUL!! A generously sized pair of Art Deco-era push-in earrings, crafted in sterling silver and finished with 9ct yellow gold screw posts — but it is their fabulous shape that makes them so striking!

Each earring is fashioned into an elegant sweeping crescent / stylised half-moon shape, almost curling around its centre gemstone. The curved silver sections are beautifully pierced and divided into radiating rows, each pavé set with sparkling white spinel gemstones, giving the earrings that wonderful icy, diamond-like Art Deco brilliance.

Sitting proudly within each crescent is a generously sized round faceted violet amethyst, held securely in an elevated prong setting. The amethysts have the prettiest soft lilac-to-violet colouring and, because they sit slightly raised from the surrounding crescent, they catch loads of light from the sides.

The combination of the bold crescent silhouette, radiating geometric lines and open pierced construction is wonderfully representative of the glamour and geometry associated with jewellery of the Art Deco period.

PLEASE NOTE: These earrings do not come with their screw-on backs/butterflies. The posts are threaded rather than conventional smooth push posts, so you will need to have suitably sized screw-back fittings matched to the existing posts by a jeweller.
