Ohhhh this one is PURE 1980s DRAMA! Bold, sculptural and unapologetically fabulous... this vintage Italian designer costume choker by Rutino has serious Maleficent vibes with its dramatic black-and-gold combination and horn-like terminals.

The chunky collar is wrapped in black faux leather, spiralling around the substantial rounded form and giving the necklace a wonderfully tactile, almost armour-like appearance. At either end sit those magnificent oversized gold-tone sculptural terminals, sweeping inward into dramatic curved points that resemble horns, claws or tusks.

Worn high around the neck, the open-front design creates an incredibly striking silhouette — very much in keeping with the bold power-dressing jewellery of the 1980s, when oversized accessories were designed to be noticed.

Surviving signed Rutino pieces include dramatic brooches, earrings and necklaces in gold-tone metals, crystals, enamel and other mixed materials, and examples are frequently attributed to 1980s Italian manufacture.
