Okay… THIS is seriously cool!!  One of those pieces that looks like it could have walked straight out of a high-end contemporary designer collection, yet its beauty comes from traditional Hill Tribe silversmithing.

This incredible necklace features seven large, weighty geometric sterling silver beads, each constructed in an extraordinary folded form reminiscent of Japanese origami. Angular planes of silver meet and overlap to create chunky diamond-like forms, giving each bead an almost architectural, sculptural quality.

And these are certainly not dainty little beads… they are HEAVY! The substantial amount of silver gives the necklace a wonderful weight and presence when worn.

The seven silver elements are individually spaced along multiple strands of black cord, creating the most beautiful contrast against the cool silver and keeping that raw, ethnic character of the necklace intact.

THE HILL TRIBE SILVER TRADITION
Hill Tribe silver jewellery is particularly associated with the indigenous communities of northern Thailand and surrounding regions, where silversmithing traditions have been passed through generations. Pieces are traditionally handmade rather than mass-produced, often resulting in subtle irregularities and tool marks that form part of their character.
