VINTAGE 1967 JUHLS “TUNDRA” BRUTALIST STERLING SILVER COLLAR NECKLACE.
A SCULPTURAL ICON OF NORWEGIAN ARCTIC DESIGN.
Prepare for goosebumps — this is an extremely rare original 1960s Juhls Tundra collar necklace, a true masterpiece of Scandinavian Brutalist jewelry.
Hand-crafted in solid sterling silver in Kautokeino (deep in Arctic Sámi territory), the necklace embodies the raw, untouched landscape it was inspired by. The organic forms, molten textures, openwork silhouettes, and asymmetrical contours mimic ice formations, snow drifts, and wind-carved tundra stone.
The front is dominated by a dramatic sculptural centrepiece — bold, primal, architectural — a perfect example of why Juhls remains one of Norway’s most celebrated silver ateliers.
This is a powerful statement necklace: clean lines meeting wild forms, modernism meeting nature, art meeting jewelry.
