This high quality and heavy fancy fob pendant has ornate pierced and engraved decorations.There is a Ribbon Cartouche placed above a traditional Shield Cartouche.
The fob pendant topped with a majestic looking Eagle with spread wings.
The Ribbon Cartouche engraved with the date "1905" and the Cartouche shield engraved with the initials "W.C.L"
Made by William Adams Ltd in Birmingham circa 1900 and Hallmarked accordingly.
These Silver medal-like fobs were usually worn on watch chains and were also used as awards for sporting and academic achievement. They are often found with engraving which tells more about how they were used and why they were presented.
