RARE FIND!!This Vintage brooch, likely from the 1950s, has a beautiful floral design. The centerpiece is a faux pearl, surrounded by two layers of Marquise-cut Sappharine glass stones.
The first layer consists of six frosted stones, arranged in a halo around the pearl. The second outer layer features larger Marquise-cut Sappharine stones, creating a striking contrast. Each stone is set in Brass metal, using prongs for a secure hold.
The combination of Brass and frosted Sappharine stones gives the brooch a delicate and elegant Vintage appearance, with subtle hues reflecting off the frosted glass.
Sappharine stones were manufactured in Germany and made to mimic the very sought after Saphiret Glass .Sappharine was made well into the 50's and does not have the richness or color of true Saphiret but still commands a hefty price in well made pieces of Jewelry.
Measurements :The brooch measures 3.4cm in diameter.The larger Marquise cut Sappharine Rhinestones each measure 1.4cm x 7mm.Brooch with a total weight of 11.7grams.
